2025-2026 COURT RESERVATION MEMBERSHIPS
At Seger Park, we offer a membership program for access to reservations for the tennis/pickleball courts. This enables the park to raise funds for park maintenance and improvements. Membership costs $100 and allows you to reserve a tennis or pickleball court for one hour up to 3 times per week online via Court Reserve. Membership runs from April 1 2025 through March 31 2026 and is limited to 200 members. If you are not a member, you can use the courts with a friend who is a member, whenever they are not booked, or by joining a clinic or meetup group.
The membership process (new & renewals) has completed for the 2025 season - Webmaster, April 3, 2025.

The Seger Park Tennis Club (SPTC) is a certified non-profit 501(c)(4) organization.
We are recognized by the USTA as an official Community Tennis Association.
Our mission is to promote the game of tennis in the Center City Philadelphia area.
Please note that SPTC is a separate and distinct organization from Seger Playground.

2025 Challenge Ladder - competition is expected to start in early June 2025 - more details to come in April 2025
The purpose of a challenge ladder is to allow all tennis players, from the beginning novice to the serious, experienced player, to meet and play other tennis enthusiasts at their own skill levels. Whether you play only occasionally, "just for fun," or prefer to compete several times a week, you can meet others at your level. You will also have the opportunity to improve your play by challenging others who are slightly more advanced.
You MUST also have a Seger Courts Reservations membership to reserve courts at Seger.
MATCH FORMAT:
*Short warm up, no more than 5 minutes (due to the one hour reservation limit).*"PRO SET" format. Winner is the first person to win 8 games.*"NO-AD" scoring.
MERCY RULE: If one player has won the first 5 games, then the Mercy Rule may be used if both players agree to conclude the match.
If time runs out, the person in the lead wins the match. If there is a tie, make ASAP arrangements to conclude the match.

Tennis balls: Each player MUST bring a new (still sealed) can of tennis balls.
